Fatehpur Sikri He went to a saint, Shaikh Salim Chishti who lived in a city called Sikri. His blessing gave Akbar 3 sons. As a gesture, Akbar built a whole new city in Sikri. Akbar named his new capital Fatehpur Sikri or the City of Victory

This marble masterpiece is a creation of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan who constructed this mausoleum in remembrance of his dear wife, Arjumand Bano Begum also popular as MumtazMahal. She died in 1630 A.D and it was her last wish that a memorial should be built in her memory that was simply matchless and which the world had not seen earlier.
The Taj Mahal was initiated 1632 A. D and was finished in 1648 A.D. For approximately seventeen years, nearly twenty thousand people worked daily and a small town was built for them where they lived with their families. Magnificence and brilliance, unrivaled, the Tajmahal and there is no other building like this all across the world.
